Yoga and exercise are taking care of human health (both physical and mental) for a long time. Fertile Yoga is not only about our body postures, but also about vein, expanding or exploring energy.  Movement of arms, legs, torso and head is important for physical fitness and can create positive impact of mindfulness and mental health. But Fertility is a complex process and therefore the yoga requires more focus on the inner and outward energy, and how they help the body to heal and to nurture itself.

The focus of fertile Yoga

There are three distinct areas that fertile yoga focuses on

  1. Fertile yoga helps a person who is try to conceive but perhaps struggling to succeed.
  2. Poses of fertile yoga focuses on promoting fertility. That is why; they are safe for persons who already are under fertility treatments or having trouble conceiving.
  3. Multiple researches have shown that fertile yoga not only increase the chances of conceiving but also promote good health by reducing stress and anxiety, which is indirectly helpful to fertility.

Fertile yoga is about moving with the poses and with the breath and entering into the realm of energy. And after entering into the realm of energy we can discover chakras. In simple sense, chakras are energy centres. Combined with mudras or poses chakra can work greatly to heal the body and increase chances or conceiving. Proper yoga practice can make you feel complete, spiritually nourished and content.

What is a Mudra?

In simple sense, mudra is a form of yoga that is done with hand signs only. Hand gestures and signs exist among different cultures for hundreds of years. It should be considered as a mantra of the hands and also as a medium to connect to specific organs. It can be understood as similar to reflexology, where each part and area of the foot is corresponds to a particular organ in the body.

Chakras, Mudras, and Fertility

Your second chakra exists in the lower abdomen of the body, two inches below the naval. This chakra is related to your desires and emotions and also with your reproduction. Second chakra is specifically related with sexual glands, such as ovaries, uterus, and testes.

Interesting enough, orange is the colour of the second chakra, because it is the colour associated with infertility and fertility awareness. According to the description of chakra, the second chakra is related to self-respect. Thus, it helps enabling us having the ability to be ourselves, bring joy in our lives and strengthen our appetite for life.

According to the explanation of chakra theory, if the second chakra is not functioning with a clear energy then it indicates a physical manifestation of infertility. In such a scenario, replenishing the second chakra may promote greater capability in the reproductive organs.

The fertility chakra in action

The functionality of chakra is that of a wheel. It is the very essence of the yoga practices. Therefore, no matter how odd we feel at a particular situation or mental condition, we still acknowledge the power and strength that we give each other. That is the beauty of humankind, and that is the beauty of nature.

The journey of fertile yoga starts with accepting and appreciating the swirl around you and thus finding the true spirit, compassion, and love. The goal of this exercise is to balance the second chakra. Forgiveness, optimism and love that begin with self-compassion incorporate with the opportunities to help facilitating fertility.
